A graduate of the University of Virginia with a degree in English language and literature, Jaqui believes that creation and expression can have many forms as long as the initial vision is there. Since 1996, she has painted professionally, showing her work throughout the United States and Europe, with a permanent public display at The Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia.
To begin her career, Jaqui spent three months painting on the island of St. Michael, Azores, where she was featured on the cover of Açores Noticias as a visiting artist. Jaqui continued to travel and expand her repertoire of subjects and media, living in south Florida and Newport, Rhode Island. She has returned to Virginia and established a studio in Virginia Beach.
